1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Fan Pass Accounts

Participation (posting rants, comments, replies, reactions, following teams, and reporting) requires a free Fan Pass account. Reading is public and does not require an account. Authentication is handled through our authentication provider. Your fan handle is your public identity on the Service.

3. User-Generated Content and License

The Service is built around fan-generated content, including rants, comments, replies, and reactions. You retain ownership of the content you submit. By posting content on WTF Fan Rant, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, distribute, and moderate that content as necessary to operate and provide the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit the content you post and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

Your public content may be displayed to other users, shared, and indexed by search engines. You are responsible for what you publish.

4. Prohibited Conduct

WTF Fan Rant is a place for passionate, opinionated sports discussion — including strong criticism of players, coaches, owners, referees, and teams. We do not moderate opinions merely because they are angry or critical. However, you may not use the Service to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate others, or engage in targeted harassment.
• Post hate content, slurs, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Doxx or post private personal information about others.
• Post unlawful, illegal, or infringing content.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Post spam, coordinated manipulation, or bot activity.
• Distribute malware or engage in malicious activity.
• Infringe the intellectual property or other rights of third parties.

We may remove content, issue warnings, suspend, or ban accounts that violate these rules, as described in our Fan Conduct & Moderation Policy.

5. Moderation Rights

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to review, edit, hide, remove, or restrict any content, and to warn, suspend, or ban any account, in our discretion, to protect the community and the Service. We do not guarantee that any content will remain available, and we may modify or discontinue features at any time.

6. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

The WTF Fan Rant name, branding, and original site features are owned by us. Team, league, and third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. WTF Fan Rant is an independent fan discussion platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any professional sports league or team unless a sponsorship is explicitly identified. Team and league names are used for fan commentary, discussion, and informational categorization only.

7. Advertising, Sponsorship, and Affiliate Relationships

The Service may display advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate content. Sponsored or paid content is labeled as such (for example, “ADVERTISEMENT” or “SPONSORED”). We may earn revenue from advertising and sponsorships. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or sponsors.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of third-party sites and are not liable for any damage arising from your use of them.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content is accurate, complete, or current. User-generated content reflects the opinions of its authors, not WTF Fan Rant. Any scores, statistics, or factual sports information is provided for context only and may be inaccurate or out of date.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WTF Fan Rant and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WTF Fan Rant and its providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, the licenses granted by you will continue to the extent necessary to allow us to operate previously-distributed content and maintain the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable U.S. law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the jurisdictions where WTF Fan Rant operates, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We have not specified a particular state's law here because the governing jurisdiction depends on our business configuration, which may change.
